Innovator, technology entrepreneur, and former New York Times leading candidate for New York City Mayor. First employee at Company.co, founder of Bronx.Tech and Impact USA Group. Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Fordham University and scholarship for Masters In International Business and Policy at Georgetown University. Also a Jesuit Volunteer Corps Alumnus.

Karl Kilb III
Co-Founder
Entrepreneur, corporate lawyer, and professor with a lifetime dedication to Catholic causes. First General Counsel of Bloomberg LP, pioneering data, analytics, electronic trading, and multimedia for 22 years. Founder and Chairman of Fordham University Entrepreneurial Law Advisory Council. Tech founder specializing in content, cybersecurity, and sustainability. Prior to becoming a lawyer, started career as a broadcaster with CNBC, 1010 WINS Radio, and other TV and radio stations.

Brendan Burgess
Chief Financial Officer
As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of New York, Brendan brings over a decade of experience in accounting, finance, operations, and executive leadership. At Metropolitan Commercial Bank, he served as a senior member of the Finance and Accouting Departments where he was a driving force behind streamling and improving effiency. While as a CPA for EisnerAmper LLP, he managed income projections, valuation calculations, tax planning, and the audit of financial statements. He earned a Master of Science in Accounting from Saint Peter's University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Providence College. Additionally, he serves in the National Guard 60 Infantry Unit as an IT Specialist.

Fr. Ian Van Heusen
Spiritual Director
Fr. Ian VanHeusen founded the Meta Catholic platform. He was raised in an Army Family and his dad is a retired Army Officer. He was an English Teacher for 2 years before entering seminary. He then attended St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia where he specialized in Ascetical and Mystical Theology and its connection with Moral Theology. While there, he won an award from the seminary for his Master’s Thesis on the topic. He was ordained to the priesthood in June 2015. Shortly after, he established the Art of Living Well to continue to make content on the spiritual life using new media. He has served at large and small parishes, as well as in Catholic college ministry in eastern North Carolina

Karl Kilb IV
Music Director
Karl Kilb IV is a music producer, film, and video game composer, and multi-instrumentalist from New York City. He attends the NYU Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, focusing on music production and business. He plays piano, clarinet, and saxophone and previously attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School as an instrumental major. He has worked with various artists, including rapper Jwalt on “The Taking” and “Blessed”. The songs have appeared on NBA Countdown, NBA games on the ABC and ESPN networks, and across NBA Arenas. “The Taking” was synced in BuzzFeed Video TV Mini-Series Normal Ain’t Normal. His music includes solo classical piano works, as well as quartet and wind band music. Karl has amassed over 500,000 streams and his music has been played and performed internationally.

We already have content under the MetaCatholic™ brand name, and we are currently developing additional VR and gaming experiences, including content under the Acutis Game™ name.
